Yeah, I agree with Saf.
Consider the force that it would take to lodge an axe through a helmet and into a chaps head. Maybe think of the follow through that a blow of that force might have. Maybe even bring the story back a few frames and have Robert still holding the axe just after the impact.
Maybe think of the result that the weight and position of Sir Henry would have on a horse. Also, to get an axe into the top of the helmet the swing would probably have been from up to down.
Anyway, just a couple of thoughts.
